Job description

Job Title: General Production WorkerJob Description

This role supports a manufacturing operation by preparing parts and surfaces for the application of protective or decorative coatings such as paint, enamel, glaze, gelcoat, or lacquer. You work a consistent schedule from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Friday through Monday, performing tasks such as cleaning, masking, staging, and packaging parts to ensure high-quality finished products.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare surfaces of machines, manufactured products, and work areas for the application of paint, enamel, glaze, gelcoat, lacquer, or other protective or decorative materials.
  • Clean parts and surfaces thoroughly to remove contaminants prior to coating.
  • Mask parts accurately to protect designated areas from paint or other coatings.
  • Stage parts in the correct sequence and location to support efficient production flow.
  • Package finished parts carefully to prevent damage during handling and shipment.
  • Perform general production and general labor tasks as assigned to support overall manufacturing operations.
  • Handle, move, and position parts and materials safely, including lifting items up to 25 pounds.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safety and productivity.
  • Follow all production procedures, safety guidelines, and quality standards.
  • Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality to support consistent production schedules.
  • Adapt to performing multiple jobs or tasks within the production area as business needs change.
Essential Skills
  • Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to prepare surfaces for paint or other coatings, including cleaning, masking, and staging parts.
  • Capability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds safely and repeatedly.
  • Experience with masking techniques for parts and surfaces.
  • Experience with packaging and packing parts for shipment or storage.
  • Ability to wash parts and ensure they are clean prior to further processing.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate masking, clean surfaces, and proper packaging.
  • Flexibility to perform multiple jobs and tasks within the production environment.
  • Consistent and reliable attendance.
  • Ability to work within ITAR-controlled production environments and follow related requirements.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous experience in general production, general labor, or similar roles.
  • Familiarity with working around paint, enamel, glaze, gelcoat, or lacquer in a manufacturing setting.
  • Comfort working in environments where paint fumes may be present.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to support the team wherever needed.

Work Environment

The environment involves typical production-floor conditions, including exposure to machinery, materials handling, and routine noise levels. Appropriate work attire and any required personal protective equipment are used to support safety and comfort on the production floor.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr.
