Job description

POSITION PURPOSE

This is a temporary position that assists with pulling items for material requests (MR), Cycle Counting, and other duties, as assigned.

Work schedule will be M-F 7:00am to 3:30pm or M-Th 7:00am to 5:30pm.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Assist with plant events and other company functions, such as Family Night.
  • Assist with warehouse duties, inventory cycle counts, parts relocation and general warehouse housekeeping, as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be at least 18 years.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent (GED or HSED). 
  • Valid driver’s license.
     
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Enrollment in a post-secondary degree program.
     
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

Requires continuous walking; frequent standing, stooping, bending, climbing stairs and ladders, kneeling, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, and reaching above and below shoulder level; and occasional sitting, crawling, lifting 50 pounds from knee to shoulder high, and pushing and pulling up to 75 pounds. Over 50% of the incumbent’s shift is spent indoors. Occasionally requires working at heights from 10 to 50 feet, which may require the use of safety equipment, including a harness, in accordance with ANSI Z359 standards; and in high climbing areas on grating, ladders, and other areas requiring use of safety equipment. Frequently exposed to dirt, dust, fumes, chemicals, and extreme heat and cold; and occasionally exposed to vibration, and poor ventilation. Incumbents are required to wear dust masks, and respirators when necessary. Requires good finger dexterity, color vision and hearing, and the ability to speak. 

KEY SKILLS
  • Experience with personal computers and Microsoft Outlook. 
  • Ability to operate mechanical equipment including, but not limited to, forklifts, lawn mowers, snow blowers, and small hand tools and equipment.
  • The incumbent must have the ability to read, comprehend, and follow written/verbal instructions.
  • Must have the ability to perform close work, communicate effectively with others, present information in a clear, concise manner and follow verbal and written instructions.

Wage: $18 per hour
