Are you pursuing a degree in Chemistry, Biology, or another scientific field and looking to gain hands-on laboratory experience? We are seeking a Part-Time Lab Technician to support an onsite laboratory that performs fungicide residue testing within a fruit packing operation. This position offers a flexible schedule that can complement your academic commitments while providing valuable real-world laboratory experience.

• Collect and prepare fruit and liquid samples for residue testing
• Perform analytical testing and accurately document results
• Enter data into electronic laboratory records and generate reports
• Maintain laboratory equipment, glassware, and supplies
• Support quality control, quality assurance, and safety initiatives
• Perform routine maintenance on laboratory instruments, including gas chromatography equipment

• Coursework completed or currently pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or another scientific discipline
• Laboratory experience through coursework, internships, research, or previous employment
• Strong attention to detail and data entry skills
• Comfortable working with chemicals and laboratory equipment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and email
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently

• Experience with analytical chemistry techniques
• Experience using or maintaining Gas Chromatography (GC) equipment
• Understanding of quality control and quality assurance processes

This is a Contract position based out of Del Rey, CA.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.50/hr.
