Job Title: CNC Operator
Job Description

The CNC Operator sets up, operates, and maintains Haas CNC machinery to produce precision parts and components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to read blueprints and technical documents, and a consistent focus on quality and safety while meeting production schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and monitor Haas CNC machines (2-axis, 3-axis, and 5-axis) to produce parts according to specifications and production schedules.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings to determine appropriate machining operations and setup requirements.
  • Accurately read and use a tape measure and other standard measuring instruments to verify dimensions and ensure parts meet required tolerances.
  • Inspect finished products for quality, accuracy, and conformance to specifications, identifying and reporting any defects or deviations.
  • Operate a forklift to move raw materials, finished goods, and supplies safely throughout the facility.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including routine cleaning of machines, tools, and the surrounding workspace.
  • Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and promptly report any mechanical issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Follow all safety protocols, company policies, and OSHA guidelines at all times.
  • Collaborate with team members and leadership to support production goals and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management to support overall manufacturing operations.
Essential Skills
  • Minimum of 2+ recent years of experience operating CNC machinery in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Proficiency in CNC machine setup and operation, specifically with Haas 2-axis, 3-axis, and 5-axis machines.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and practical understanding of machining processes and work offsets.
  • Proficiency in reading a tape measure and using standard measuring instruments to verify part dimensions.
  • Strong attention to detail with a consistent focus on producing high-quality work.
  • Good problem-solving skills to identify and address machining and equipment issues.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Reliable and punctual, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Schedule flexibility, including the ability to work varying hours and possible Saturdays as needed.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience using calipers and other precision measuring tools.
  • Familiarity with G-code or basic CNC programming concepts.
  • Willingness and flexibility to move to a second shift in the future as operations expand.
  • Experience with FRAMECAD systems or similar specialized equipment.
  • Valid forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification upon hire.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, start-up manufacturing environment with an all-hands-on-deck mentality.

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
