Job description

Title: BIM Manager - Field
Location: Santa Teresa, NM / Dallas, TX / Abilene, TX / El Paso, TX
Hire Type: Contract to Hire
Salary: $60-$80/hour
Benefits: Medical, dental, vision

Sterling Engineering is looking for a BIM Manager - Field to support large-scale data center construction projects across multiple project sites.

Job Duties:
  • Support large-scale data center projects expected to run 2–3 years
  • Manage full BIM/VDC scope coordination with engineering teams, trade partners, and vendors
  • Support field layout, model-based quantity takeoffs, and fabrication workflows
  • Coordinate construction models and field execution activities
  • Assist with construction sequencing, temporary works, and installation planning
  • Utilize Revit, Navisworks, BIM360/ACC, and other coordination tools for project execution
  • Travel or relocate to project sites based on business needs
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, BIM, or related field preferred
  • Experience in construction-focused BIM/VDC, preferably within large EPC or industrial projects
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing and installation constraints
  • Strong working knowledge of Revit, Navisworks, BIM360/ACC, and construction coordination workflows
  • Experience with AutoCAD Suite required; SP3D experience is a plus
  • Willingness to work on-site and travel/relocate as needed
