Ohio University's Regional Campuses are located in the following cities in the State of Ohio: Chillicothe, Eastern (St. Clairsville, OH), Lancaster, Southern (Ironton, OH), and Zanesville.
We are accepting applicants for potential adjunct faculty openings in Mathematics at Chillicothe beginning Fall semester 2026. The need for these positions is undetermined at this time and is dependent on operational needs including enrollment and staffing. If a need arises, the department will select candidates from this posting.

Job Description
Ohio University Regional Campuses are seeking part-time instructors to teach a variety of in-person Mathematics courses at the undergraduate level at the Chillicothe campus.
Preference will be given to applicants who can teach the following:
MATH 1200 College Algebra
Equations, functions and graphs, including linear equations and systems, polynomials, rational and radical expressions, quadratic equations, exponential and logarithmic functions, and inequalities. Students who do not need MATH 1200 for their intended majors or as a prerequisite for other classes should consider instead taking MATH 1060, MATH 1500, or another BRICKS: Foundations: Quantitative Reasoning course. No credit for both this course and MATH 1321 (first course taken deducted). No credit if the student has credit for MATH 2301, 2302, or higher than 2500.
MATH 1300 Pre-Calculus
Course provides a rigorous treatment of graphs, inverses, and algebraic operations of polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic, and trigonometric functions, trigonometry and analytic geometry. The course also includes introductions to linear systems, polar coordinates, vectors, conic sections, sequences and series. Recommended only for students intending to enroll in MATH 2301 Calculus I. No credit for both this course and MATH 1322 (first course taken deducted).
MATH 1350: Survey of Calculus
An introductory course on conceptual understanding of statistical methods and techniques, including descriptive statistics, correlation and regression, elementary probability, estimation, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, and the use of software. The course emphasizes the reasoning skills necessary for understanding and critically evaluating statistical information. No credit if taken after MATH 2500 or PSY 2110 or QBA 2010 or ISE 3040 or ISE 3200 or COMS 3520 or Econ 3810 or GEOG 2710. Students cannot earn credit for MATH 1500 and PSY 1110 (first course taken deducted).
Position will include teaching from 3 credit hours to up to 11 credit hours per term.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in Mathematics or related area; experience teaching undergraduate Mathematics.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience teaching Mathematics courses considered equivalent under the State of Ohio's OT36 transfer system; demonstrated teaching excellence at the undergraduate level.
