Job Title: Quality Control Technician
Responsibilities
- Evaluate finished products for quality and acceptability.
- Perform all necessary analyses as required by product specifications.
- Communicate product quality issues to relevant team members.
- Log all analysis test results and batch information in the I-Series (AS400).
- Maintain analysis records and ensure documentation compliance.
- Monitor line equipment for functionality, safety, and cleanliness.
- Check metal detectors, magnets, scales, and perform critical control point and GMP audits.
- Assist in investigations of foreign material and product non-conformance.
- Perform batch set-up checks and assist in correcting any discrepancies.
- Place products on hold and release them when appropriate.
- Reject products as necessary and complete rejection forms, including root cause and corrective action analysis.
- Check the effectiveness of allergen cleanouts.
- Perform Pre-Op audits as necessary, especially after equipment maintenance.
- Perform production scale checks and lab equipment calibration as per schedule.
- Collect micro samples and place micro hold products on hold.
- Perform special tasks as assigned, such as maintaining the sample area and control sample file.
- Follow all GMPs and safety procedures.
Essential Skills
- Experience in quality control, preferably in food manufacturing.
- Ability to use quality control analysis equipment.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Proficiency in computer and data processing skills.
- Ability to climb ladders to work platforms.
- Physical ability to lift 50 pounds.
Work Environment
Training will occur on 1st or 2nd shift for approximately 3 months, with 1st shift hours being 5 am to 2 pm. The role involves working on the 2nd shift (2 pm - 10 pm) or 3rd shift (10 pm - 6 am), with a shift differential of $0.85 for 2nd shift and $1.05 for 3rd shift. Expect a significant amount of overtime, with the possibility of working up to 12-hour shifts and up to 6 days per week, depending on production needs.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.50 - $22.55/hr.
