Job description

Customer Engineer III (Woolpert Inc, Dayton, OH):

  • Understand customer pain points and advise on best practices to deploy and manage applications in cloud environments, such as GCP, AWS, Azure, and on-premises.
  • Architect location-based service solutions for customer environments (on-premises, cloud, or hybrid).
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to identify customer needs and propose appropriate solutions.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Engineering, and Engineering teams to ensure solution fit, feasibility, and profitability.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, workshops, and presentations to showcase the value of Google Maps and Google Cloud Geospatial technologies.
  • Create estimated Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and Return On Investment (ROI) calculations for customers.
  • Create and deliver Statements of Work (SOWs).
  • Employ Google Maps and Google Cloud Geospatial technologies to address challenges for customers.
  • Utilize current and future Google Maps and Google Cloud Geospatial licensing models to build and deploy production-grade solutions in a virtualized environment such as Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or similar platforms.
  • Stay informed about technology updates, licensing changes, and business trends that impact the firm's go-to-market strategy by networking within Google and with key partners.
  • Design, create, and update demos and sales collateral (e.g., reference architectures, SOW templates) to empower Sales and Customer Engineering teams to accelerate sales cycles.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Support teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Participate in projects involving Google Maps and Google Cloud Geospatial technologies.
  • Telecommuting is permitted.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field of study.
  • Requires five (5) years of experience building and deploying production-grade solutions in a virtualized environment such as Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or similar platforms; Python, JavaScript, Google API's, HTML, or CSS; Google Maps Platform; cloud integration as it relates to networking and identity management; deploying or managing a cloud-based productivity suite; and managing internal or client-facing projects to completion.
