Assistant Baseball Coach will oversee various coaching aspects of the baseball program. Specific duties include but are not limited to pitching, offense, defense, recruiting off-campus, recruiting on-campus, recruiting via electronic communications, Trackman versed, daily developmental drills, in-game strategic decision making, creating/obtaining detailed scouting reports, and recruiting prospective student athletes under the direction of the head coach. This position will assist with travel, budget and equipment logistics.
  • All recruiting duties assigned by the head coach. Instruct student athletes in the sport, which includes skill instruction, motivating techniques, and conduct session practices under the direction of the Head Coach. Requires effective feedback during competitions.
  • Organizing and planning recruiting duties, such as: ARMS paperwork, official/unofficial visit planning, logging CARA hours, any operational request from the head coach. Assisting with travel, budget and equipment.
  • Recruit student athletes under the direction of the Head Coach. Duties include but are not limited to: planning official and unofficial visits, attending baseball games of prospective student athletes, and creating/maintaining positive relationships with each recruited student athlete. Creating and maintaining relationships with high school and junior college coaches throughout the Midwest.
