Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable, hardworking Commercial Carpet and Tile Cleaning Technician to join our field service team. In this role, you will travel to various commercial facilities—including offices, retail spaces, schools, and medical buildings—to deliver high-quality deep cleaning services for floors, upholstery, and hard surfaces. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, physical activity, and maintaining a professional presence in corporate environments.

Core Responsibilities

  • Facility Assessment: Inspect commercial carpets, upholstery, tile, and grout to identify material composition, stain origins, and high-traffic wear patterns.
  • Pre-Treatment & Cleaning: Apply targeted commercial-grade stain removers, pre-sprays, and sanitizing agents. Operate truck-mounted extraction units, rotary scrubbers, and specialized hand tools.
  • Tile & Grout Restoration: Agitate heavy grout lines, extract embedded grime, and apply industrial-strength protective sealants to tile surfaces.
  • Office Furniture Handling: Safely move, protect, and reset light office furniture, chairs, and mats to ensure complete, wall-to-wall floor coverage.
  • Drying & Finishing: Position high-speed air movers to accelerate drying before business operations resume. Apply deodorizers and fabric protectors.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Clean, inspect, and maintain company vehicles, hoses, and mechanical cleaning equipment daily to ensure optimal performance.
  • Professional Presence: Maintain a clean uniform, neat appearance, and respectful behavior at all times while working on client properties.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous commercial floor care or carpet cleaning experience is preferred, but we provide comprehensive on-the-job training for the right candidate.
  • Physical Ability: Physically demanding role. Must be able to lift, carry, and move heavy objects weighing up to 50 to 75 lbs, and stand, kneel, or bend for long periods.
  • Licensing: Valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record (MVR) required to drive company work vans.
  • Soft Skills: Strong verbal communication, excellent time management, and a professional attitude suitable for commercial environments.

Schedule & Travel Expectations

  • Overnight Travel: Must be willing to accommodate occasional overnight travel to reach distant commercial project sites.
  • Overtime: Must be available to work extended hours and overtime during our peak spring and summer busy seasons.
