Position Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic Audio-Visual Intern for a summer internship opportunity supporting the day-to-day audiovisual needs of our corporate environment. This role offers hands-on experience with AV equipment, meeting and event support, and user assistance in a professional office setting. It is an excellent opportunity for a college student looking to build practical skills, gain real-world work experience, and learn how audiovisual services support business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the setup, testing, and operation of audiovisual equipment in conference rooms, meeting spaces, and event areas
  • Provide basic support for room technology, including displays, microphones, speakers, cameras, and video conferencing tools
  • Help troubleshoot routine AV issues under the guidance of senior team members
  • Support internal meetings, presentations, events, and other corporate functions
  • Assist executives and other internal stakeholders with the production of audio and video podcasts in the company's production studio
  • Perform pre-meeting and pre-event room checks to ensure technology is functioning properly
  • Assist with equipment moves, cable management, room resets, and general space readiness
  • Help maintain inventory of AV equipment, accessories, and supplies
  • Document basic support activities and assist with administrative or organizational tasks as needed
  • Provide professional, courteous service to employees, presenters, and meeting hosts
  • Follow company procedures and safety guidelines while working with equipment

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university program
  • Some hands-on experience with AV equipment through coursework, student productions, campus events, theater, media labs, or related activities
  • Interest in audiovisual technology and enthusiasm for learning in a corporate environment
  • Basic familiarity with equipment such as microphones, speakers, displays, projectors, cameras, lighting, or video conferencing platforms
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively, take direction, and adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to lift and move AV equipment within safe handling limits, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Availability to work during the summer internship period

Relevant Fields of Study

  • Experience supporting live events, student productions, presentations, podcasts, or campus AV environments
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or similar collaboration platforms
