Job description

Omni Hotel at the Battery Atlanta
Serving as a cornerstone of northern Atlanta's newest mixed-used community, the Omni Hotel at The Battery Atlanta is the official hotel of the Atlanta Braves, located within steps of Truist Park as well as premier office space, the Coca-Cola Roxy music venue and a variety of shopping and dining. Our luxury hotel features 16 floors with 264 rooms including 28 suites, over 20,000 square feet of meeting space and can accommodate business travelers, families on vacation and everyone in-between.

Barback
Overview:
The Barback is a summer seasonal position that is responsible for delivering excellence in guest service by supporting servers in providing personalized service, anticipating, and delivering guests' needs. The Barback comprehends the cocktail/beverage menus, anticipating the needs of the bartenders to ensure all products and supplies are present.
Responsibilities:
  • Consistent maintenance and refinement of service standards. Ensures compliance with all hotel standards and local laws.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation awareness standards. Prepare daily for health department and Ecosure inspections.
  • Must have knowledge of a variety of alcoholic beverages, must retain and maintain complete knowledge of all food and beverage menu items.
  • Perform all banquet side work as assigned by management including but not limited to the cleaning of bar and beverage equipment, cleaning of portable bars and back bars, walls, and carpets surrounding assigned work area.
  • Ensure positive guest service and respond positively to complaints, taking all appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests.
  • Assist in the controlling of food and beverage quantities by avoiding over/under preparing.
  • Assist with set-up and breakdown of all the banquet bar areas.
  • Attend all required department trainings and meetings.
  • Perform any other duties required by leadership.

Qualifications:
  • The Candidate must have hands-on food and beverage knowledge and a comprehensive, working knowledge of the hospitality business.
  • A minimum of relevant bar experience in a large convention hotel is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to always maintain a positive and professional demeanor and composure.
  • Proven ability to engage guests at all levels. Must be passionate about providing warm, engaging, and personalized service.
  • Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management, and co-workers.
  • Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to handle multiple priorities.
  • Computer literacy to include Payroll systems, Micros, POS systems
  • Serve Safe certified | Unexpired TIPs required.
