Churchville-Chili Central School District Summer Camp Instructor Position: Digital Arts, Technology & STEM

Are you passionate about STEM?

CCCSD, in conjunction with Black Rocket Productions, is seeking enthusiastic, motivated and talented individuals to work as an Assistant Instructor to help teach exciting classes like ROBLOX, Video Game Design, Minecraft, and MORE!

An Assistant Instructor must be at least 18 years of age by May 2026. This is a perfect job for undergrad students with summers off who want to teach children various types of new technology. Assistant Instructors are adults who, with the Lead Instructors, are responsible for the well-being and education of the students. Experience working with children and/or the technology used in class are preferred. Classroom management skills are valued. Upon completion of the Black Rocket training program, instructors must demonstrate competency in the core concepts and software used. This is a seasonal position for the month of July.

Get paid to build your resume and have a ton of fun! Each new hire will attend an online training program to learn the curriculum and the Black Rocket approach. Training begins in May 2026.

Most positions are 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, Monday-Friday from July 6th through July 30th.

**PLEASE NOTE: All instructors would be required to either possess or obtain a NYS Fingerprint Clearance for this role due to working with minors.**


General Requirements:

  • Located within commuting distance of Churchville, NY and have a reliable form of transportation

  • Experience with children in an educational setting preferred but not required

  • Strong technology skills are preferred, such as 3D modeling, coding, game creation or design, animation, robotics, modifying games, video editing, competitive gaming, significant knowledge of Minecraft or Roblox, etc.

  • Available to complete online training - available in May (Train at your own pace.)

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States. We are unable to offer accommodations or work sponsorship.

  • Must be available to work a minimum of 2 weeks, Monday through Friday

Assistant Instructor Requirements:

  • 18 years of age or older.

  • Able to commit to a full week of work, M-F, approximately 8:30 - 3:30.

  • College students studying education, computer science, digital arts, information technology, or in similar fields are encouraged to apply.

  • Those with strong tech or digital arts and troubleshooting skills will be most successful in this position.

  • Experience with kids in a formal or informal setting is a plus, such as babysitting, volunteering, coaching, tutoring, etc.


Benefits:

The hourly rate for an Assistant Instructor is $18.50.
