The Roman Catholic Diocese of Raleigh is seeking a Preschool Assitant Teacher (for ages 2 - 5 years old) to join St. Raphael Preschool in Raleigh, NC. The assistant teacher will provide a safe, nurturing, faith-filled environment for children while maintaining the overall supervision of students and daily class functions.
Key responsibilities:
  • Engage children in socialization and play-based learning that is developmentally age-appropriate and follows the Diocese of Raleigh Preschool Standards.
  • Work effectively with a Lead Teacher and participate in ongoing collaboration and planning with the preschool director and colleagues.
  • Establish positive and effective family relations through ongoing parent communication.
  • Attend all required staff meetings, workshops, and school functions.
  • Minimum Requirements:
  • Two years of experience working with young children
  • Employment is contingent upon applicant satisfactorily passing criminal background and reference checks
  • Must complete diocese-sponsored Safe Environment Training prior to start date.

Preferred Qualifications:
