Job Description:

Pharmacy technicians assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory, and maintaining patient records. Pharmacy technicians work only under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist. Pharmacy technicians present completed medications to the pharmacist for verification, routinely interact with patients to ensure quality service and other job duties where applicable.

Certified Pharmacy Technician- Float

Education:

  • Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Required: Applicant must be at least 18 years of age

Experience:

  • As required by Pharmacy Technician Certification Board for Certification Exam

Skills:

  • Good verbal and communication skills
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Direct customer and patient interactions
  • Exhibit problem-solving and organizational skill

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

  • Required: Must be certified as a Pharmacy Technician through a nationally accredited Pharmacy organization.
