Role Summary:
Accountable for leading and training a group of individuals while meeting or exceeding SLA and KPI expectations. This role maintains the effective execution of picking, receiving, inventory cycle counting, and returns on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor a team of inventory associates, ensuring daily tasks are completed accurately and on time
Monitor and drive team performance to ensure SLA and KPI targets are consistently met
Oversee and actively participate in picking, receiving, cycle counting, and returns processes
Identify inventory discrepancies and resolve them accurately and in a timely manner
Train and onboard new associates on processes, systems, and standard operating procedures
Communicate daily updates, challenges, and team performance to the Inventory Manager
Coordinate with fellow Team Leads across shifts to ensure smooth handoffs and operational continuity
Collaborate regularly with other departments to support cross functional needs and maintain workflow efficiency
Maintain inventory accuracy by conducting regular cycle counts and reconciling variances
Ensure all associates are following safety protocols and company policies at all times
Monitor attendance, productivity, and associate performance and escalate concerns to management as needed
Assist in developing and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
Support the team in adapting to changing priorities and operational needs
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment throughout the shift
Serve as the first point of contact for associates when issues or questions arise on the floor.
Work Environment & Scope:
Works in a fast paced warehouse environment with a focus on daily operational execution. Follows established processes and procedures while using good judgment to handle floor level challenges. Expected to maintain productivity, accuracy, and team accountability throughout the shift.
Working Relationships:
Interacts daily with inventory associates, providing direct guidance and hands on support. Reports to the Inventory Manager and communicates regularly on team performance, priorities, and any operational issues. Collaborates consistently with fellow Team Leads across shifts to ensure smooth handoffs and operational continuity. Regularly coordinates with other departments to support cross functional needs and maintain overall workflow efficiency.
Qualifications: (The following minimum requirements are normal guidelines and should not constrain the advancement of otherwise qualified personnel)
Previous experience in inventory, warehouse, or supply chain environment preferred
Strong working knowledge of inventory management systems and spreadsheets
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions on the floor
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of associates
Strong communication skills
Proactive and solutions oriented mindset
Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
Comfortable working across shifts and collaborating with cross functional teams.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 30-50 lbs as needed.
