What are entry-level Shopify jobs?

Entry-level Shopify jobs typically include roles such as Shopify assistants, customer support representatives, or product listing specialists. These positions often require basic knowledge of e-commerce platforms, familiarity with Shopify's interface, and strong organizational skills, with some roles offering on-the-job training. They usually involve tasks like updating product information, managing orders, and providing customer service.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Shopify Specialist, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Shopify Specialist, you need expertise in e-commerce, website management, and a solid understanding of Shopify's platform and best practices, often supported by experience in web development or digital marketing. Proficiency with Shopify's admin interface, Liquid templating language, third-party apps, and analytics tools is essential. Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and effective communication skills help you collaborate with clients and troubleshoot issues efficiently. These skills ensure seamless online store operations, optimized user experience, and the successful achievement of business goals.

What do Shopify jobs pay?

Shopify jobs typically offer salaries that vary based on role, experience, and location. Entry-level positions may start around $40,000 annually, while more experienced roles such as developers or managers can earn $70,000 to over $120,000 per year. Compensation often includes benefits and opportunities for bonuses or commissions, especially in sales or customer support roles.

What are some common challenges faced when managing multiple Shopify tasks simultaneously, and how can these be effectively addressed?

Managing multiple Shopify tasks at once often involves balancing urgent store updates, product listings, theme customizations, and order management. A common challenge is prioritizing tasks without disrupting the customer experience. Effective strategies include using project management tools, setting clear deadlines, and maintaining open communication with team members such as designers, marketers, and support staff. Leveraging Shopify’s automation features and regularly reviewing workflow processes can also help streamline operations and reduce stress.

Can I actually make money off Shopify?

A Shopify task typically involves managing or setting up online stores on the Shopify platform, which can generate income through sales, dropshipping, or store management. Success depends on skills like marketing, product selection, and customer service, and earning potential varies widely based on effort and business strategy.

What are Shopify Tasks?

Shopify Tasks refer to specific actions or projects completed within the Shopify platform, such as setting up products, customizing themes, managing orders, or integrating apps. These tasks can be performed by store owners themselves or by hiring Shopify experts and developers. Completing Shopify tasks efficiently helps store owners optimize their online presence, improve customer experience, and streamline business operations.

Part-Time
Chicago, IL - Prentice Women's Hospital (250 E. Superior St.)

We're looking for candidates with open daytime availability (mornings through late afternoon) to support our core daily operations on both weekdays and weekends.

Monica + Andy is looking for kind, empathetic, and energetic sales associates to join our Customer Experience team!

We are looking for experienced sales associates who will deliver exceptional customer service and create a joyful shopping experience across both our Guideshops and our digital customer experience channels (email, chat, and phone).

This role is unique in that it blends retail, clienteling, and digital customer experience. Our Storks build relationships with customers in-store while also supporting parents and gift-givers across the country through our customer support channels.

Monica + Andy is a digitally native, organic baby and children's clothing brand. Inspired by the birth of her daughter, our Founder Monica Royer created Monica + Andy to deliver softer, organic fabrics, better-designed clothing and blankets, and a seamless, easy shopping experience for parents and gift-givers. We exist to personalize shopping for parents by creating joyful experiences and products without compromise.

Our Sales Associates (Storks) are brand ambassadors. We are looking for Storks who are confident in their ability to naturally share our brand story and educate customers on our products and high-quality, organic fabrics. We want someone who connects with and understands the needs of our parents and our gift-giving clients.

  • Enjoy a mix of sales, styling, and customer service.
  • Take pride in building relationships and developing repeat clients.
  • Are energized by helping customers find the perfect gift or outfit.
  • Are comfortable working across both in-store and digital customer experience channels.

You...

  • Are empathetic and confident in your ability to genuinely connect with co-workers and customers.
  • Love meeting and talking to new people.
  • Have a desire to grow our brand and build a client book.
  • Have a positive attitude and can motivate and lead by example.
  • Have a keen attention to detail.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have a love for and understanding of babies + children, and the big people who come with them.
  • Must be willing to work weekends and holidays.
  • Are dependable and take pride in being punctual and reliable for your team
  • Have a customer-centric mindset and are natural in providing excellent customer service.
  • Have strong problem-solving and time-management skills.
  • Are able to answer customer questions in person and via chat, email, and phone.
  • Are a self-motivator and willing to work hard, roll up your sleeves, and help build the brand.
  • Familiarity with Shopify, Loop, and ShipStation a plus.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

We...

  • Value self-awareness, honesty, empathy, and good energy.
  • Work hard because we love what we're doing, but also believe in balance.
  • Love babies + kids - and the big people who come with them.
  • Back up our talk with competitive compensation, challenging work, great coworkers, and the opportunity to build something meaningful.
  • Are excited to hear from you!

Job Responsibilities (Guideshop Customer Experience)
