Job description

We are seeking a hands-on Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist to design, build, test, and optimize scalable, data-driven email campaigns, templates, and automated customer journeys.

This role operates at the intersection of marketing strategy, customer data, and technical execution - translating business requirements into high-performing lifecycle communications within SFMC. You will partner closely with Marketing, Data Automation, and Business Intelligence teams to ensure campaigns are accurate, scalable, and performance-driven.

This is a builder role with strong ownership over execution and campaign delivery.

The Basics

Location: Preference is to be by one of our offices in Swedesboro, NJ, Portland, ME or a remote option.
Job Type: Full Time, permanent 
Schedule:  Monday-Friday, 8 AM-5 PM
Compensation: The target base pay range for this position is $90K-$105K base plus an annual bonus commensurate with the individual's experience and qualifications.

How You'll Make an Impact

Email & Template Development

  • Build responsive, cross-client email templates and campaigns using HTML and CSS
  • QA and test campaigns to ensure rendering accuracy across devices and inbox providers
  • Maintain reusable, modular components and scalable template systems

Data, Segmentation & Personalization

  • Develop dynamic and personalized content using AMPscript and conditional logic
  • Build and manage Data Extensions
  • Support data validation, segmentation accuracy, and list hygiene processes

Journey & Automation Implementation

  • Execute lifecycle campaigns in Journey Builder (welcome, abandonment, retention, win-back)
  • Configure and deploy triggered and scheduled sends
  • Troubleshoot campaign logic, data issues, and journey performance

Performance & Optimization

  • Collaborate to design and deploy A/B tests and optimization strategies
  • Monitor key campaign metrics (open rate, CTR, revenue per send, etc.)
  • Support deliverability best practices and issue resolution

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Translate marketing requirements into efficient, scalable technical builds
  • Partner with Marketing, Data Automation, and Business Intelligence to support roadmap priorities
  • Document processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience
  • 3-5 years of email development experience
  • 2+ years hands-on Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience and SFMC Certification(s) preferred
  • Strong proficiency in AMPscript, HTML, and CSS
  • Experience with Email Studio, Journey Builder, and Data Extensions
  • Familiarity with APIs or triggered send configurations
  • Working knowledge of email deliverability best practices
  • Experience supporting B2B, B2C, or subscription lifecycle programs
  • Experience in Animal Health or Pharmacy Benefit Management is a plus
