Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented R&D Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in product formulation, testing, and innovation within the fast-paced supplements and ingredients sector. The ideal candidate will support a variety of research and development activities while working alongside professionals dedicated to creating high-quality nutritional solutions.
This position requires a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support bench-top formulation and prototype development for internal evaluations and customer presentations.
  • Assist in the preparation and organization of samples and materials for upcoming trade shows and customer events.
  • Participate in hands-on product development activities, including mixing, weighing, and testing ingredients under the guidance of the R&D team.
  • Conduct basic evaluations such as stability, solubility, and sensory testing of prototypes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales and Marketing, to ensure prototype readiness and alignment with project goals.
  • Maintain accurate records of lab activities, observations, and experimental results.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment in accordance with internal safety and quality procedures.
  • Complete an assigned project during the internship, with the opportunity to present findings and recommendations to the R&D team at the end of the term.
  • Actively participate in team meetings and product development discussions, contribute innovative ideas during brainstorming sessions, and deliver periodic updates on project progress and key learnings.

Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of product development and scientific research methodologies.
  • Familiarity with the supplements or ingredients industry is a plus, but not required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with data analysis is a plus.
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
