Job description

Corin is recruiting for a Senior Buyer/Planner to join our Raynham, Massachusetts team on a Full-Time basis. The Senior Robotics Buyer/Planner role is a hands-on position responsible for being able to pull reporting data, prepare supply and production plans and execute purchase order activities for the manufacture or acquisition of, products, materials and or services. The Senior Robotic Buyer/Planner is involved in strategic planning, supplier relationship management, and leadership responsibilities within the supply chain. They are responsible for the procurement of materials and goods necessary for company operations, ensuring the materials are available when needed to meet production plans. This position plays an important role in optimizing the flow of materials, contributing to the smooth operation of manufacturing processes and minimizing disruptions. The Senior Robotics Buyer/Planner has many touchpoints with both internal and external collaborators. The Senior Robotic Buyer/Planner will collaborate with various internal departments including but not limited to Manufacturing, Distribution, Marketing, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, Customer Service, Quality and Regulatory. The Senior Robotics Buyer/Planner will also extensively collaborate and communicate with external vendors and suppliers. 


The key responsibilities of the Senior Buyer/Planner are to:
•    Extract global forecasts and aid in establishing the production plan to support the forecast.
•    Establish and maintain safety stock values considering demand variability, Service requirements, and supplier lead times.
•    Monitor the supply of robotic instruments, finished goods and components, in support of the demand plan.
•    Model purchase orders and establish supply strategies based on PFEP data points.
•    Review, communicate, and resolve customer backorders.
•    Create quote packages for supplier review and response.
•    Evaluate quotes and negotiate delivery timelines according to the needs of the production plan.
•    Purchase order placement and confirmation tracking maintained in the EPR system.
•    Evaluate and communicate material shortages and expected recovery timelines to the Production Planning Manager.
•    Evaluate and manage overdue purchase orders and expedite requests.
•    Establish and maintain touch-point meetings with supplier base, building strong supplier relationships.
•    Overcome obstacles with the appropriate level of urgency with a facts-first approach.
•    Identify issues and communicate options for resolution, with recommendations.
•    Continual communication with suppliers regarding all current programs as well as any future opportunities 
•    Establish and maintain effective inventory levels to minimize backorders and improve inventory turns
•    Support the service plan of spare parts for Robotics and instruments
•    Support the supply chain of NPI and obsolescence projects
•    Monitor Non-Conforming Material review (NCMR) documents and close the loop on NCMR dispositions (rework, RTS, scrap)
•    Update team members and stakeholders on relevant inbound and outbound activities
•    Assist with other Operational ad-hoc assignments and projects, as assigned

The ideal Senior Buyer/Planner will have/be:
•    Roll-up-your-sleeves approach with a “can do” accountable attitude
•    Minimum 8+ years of previous Buyer/Planner role
•    Strong interpersonal communication skills 
•    Ability to prioritize actions in a fast-paced environment
•    Proven ability to plan, direct and maintain long & short-term goals
•    Analytical, data-focused mindset coupled with process improvement implementation
•    Extensive Excel skills required – Pivot tables & V-lookup skills a must
•    Must be able to manage all planning and buying responsibilities from Excel spreadsheet manipulation
•    Logical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
•    Ability to work under pressure, calmly, and professionally


The base pay range for this position is $70,000-90,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
