Job description

Director | Sales | The Shenandoah Nature Resort | Star Tannery, VA

We're seeking a relationship-driven, and commercially minded Director | Sales to lead revenue growth at The Shenandoah Nature Resort. This role is responsible for building and executing a comprehensive sales strategy that positions The Shenandoah as the premier nature-immersive luxury resort destination in the Mid-Atlantic, where the Shenandoah Valley's ancient landscape meets intentional, transformational hospitality.

From curating immersive group retreats beneath the Blue Ridge canopy to driving commercial partnerships and group revenue, this leader ensures that every touchpoint—from first impression to final checkout—is deeply aligned with our guiding experience: Relax, Release, Connect, Love.

The Director | Sales will be a critical member of the pre-opening leadership team, driving market positioning, revenue infrastructure, and commercial partnerships from the ground up. This role directly shapes how the world comes to know—and choose—The Shenandoah.

This is a full-time, on-site, exempt position based in Star Tannery, Virginia, and reports to the Managing Director, with a dotted line to the SVP | Commercial Strategies. The salary range for this position is $125,000–$150,000.

The Shenandoah Nature Resort

The Shenandoah Nature Resort is a revolutionary luxury wellness destination set within the breathtaking expanse of the Shenandoah Valley in Star Tannery, Virginia—just ninety minutes from Washington, DC. Rooted in regenerative principles and a profound respect for the land, The Shenandoah exists to provide transformational experiences that blend ancient and modern wellness wisdom, harmonize nature and nurture, and activate human and environmental connections.

Shenandoah’s brand promise is inseparable from its culture. We believe that how our leaders live, lead, and relate establishes an “energetic baseline” that shapes how guests and teammates experience the property from day one. We are building more than a resort—we are stewarding a long-term platform rooted in purpose, sustainability, and meaningful human connection.

The Shenandoah Nature Resort is currently under construction, with model retreat rooms and curated invite-only experiences launching Winter 2027, followed by full resort opening in Spring 2028.
