Job description

ABOUT BETR
Founded in 2022 by Joey Levy and Jake Paul, Betr has built the world's first real money gaming Super App.  The Betr Super App currently consists of Picks, Social Sportsbook, Social Casino, and Arcade - and will soon include Prediction Markets alongside other new products.  Betr has one million paying users and is one of the fastest growing companies in the industry.

Betr is also the world's most followed real money gaming brand on social media.

About the Role:

Betr is building a prediction markets product offering event-based contracts, and we're looking for an experienced compliance and regulatory professional to help build and scale our regulatory compliance program. This is a high-impact role for someone who wants to work at the frontier of a fast-evolving regulatory space.

This position will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams (product, engineering, business) to design a compliant product and build the regulatory infrastructure to support it. While the primary focus is prediction markets, this person will also provide support across our other consumer-facing verticals as needs arise.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is both business-minded and regulatory-focused, and who wants to play a meaningful role in shaping the future of the prediction markets industry. The successful candidate will work closely with leadership to help shape the strategy, regulatory infrastructure, and long-term direction of a rapidly growing prediction markets business.

Note: This role does not require a law degree or bar license. We welcome candidates with deep regulatory and compliance experience in CFTC-regulated markets, whether they come from a legal, compliance, regulatory affairs, or operations background.

Location Preference:  While this role is Miami-preferred, we are open to candidates from all locations and are focused on finding the best overall fit for the position.

What You'll Do:
  • Build, implement, and maintain a comprehensive compliance program for our prediction markets product

  • Advise on CFTC compliance for event contracts and prediction market products, including product structure, contract terms, and market rules

  • Assist with regulatory registrations, applications, and filings, and prepare the organization for the obligations that accompany them

  • Draft, review, and update policies, procedures, rulebooks, terms and conditions, and other documentation governing the trading of our products

  • Review marketing, advertising, and educational materials for compliance with applicable CFTC and NFA rules and regulations

  • Interface with regulators and self-regulatory organizations, and help prepare the company for regulatory engagement and examinations

  • Partner with the firm’s risk, operations and IT departments

  • Partner with external counsel on specialized regulatory matters

  • Identify, analyze, and mitigate regulatory and legal risk while supporting commercial objectives

  • Provide ad hoc compliance and legal support across our other verticals

What We're Looking For:
  • 5–10+ years of experience in regulatory, compliance, or legal work involving CFTC-regulated products and entities (e.g., designated contract markets, FCMs, or prediction markets). Law degree and bar license welcome but not required.

  • Strong working knowledge of the Commodity Exchange Act and CFTC and NFA rules; familiarity with the regulatory frameworks applicable to event contracts and prediction markets is a significant plus

  • Experience building or maintaining a compliance program, ideally in a startup or high-growth environment

  • Track record of standing up compliant products and operations under federal regulatory frameworks

  • Familiarity with the gaming, sports betting, fantasy sports, or related consumer verticals is a plus

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical guidance for business teams

  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • A solutions-oriented mindset and the ability to operate with limited precedent
