Responsibilities & Qualifications
The Opportunity
This role is ideal for an emerging architectural professional with 1-3 years of experience who is excited to build a career designing complex public infrastructure. You'll work within multidisciplinary project teams and gain exposure to every phase of project delivery, from early planning and concept development through construction documentation and construction support.
We're looking for someone who is genuinely passionate about transit, mobility,and creating infrastructure that enhances the communities it serves.
What You'll Do
  • Support the planning, design, and delivery of transportation and public infrastructure projects, including:
    • Passenger rail and transit stations
    • Maintenance and operations facilities
    • Administrative and support buildings
    • Passenger amenities and public spaces
  • Prepare architectural drawings, models, renderings, and presentation materials using Revit and other design software.
  • Assist with design development, construction documents, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, communications, and systems engineers to develop integrated design solutions.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary coordination meetings and design reviews.
  • Research and apply building codes, accessibility requirements (ADA), life safety standards, and client design criteria.
  • Support construction administration activities, including reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFIs, and participating in site visits.
  • Contribute creative ideas that promote design excellence, sustainability, resilience, and outstanding passenger experiences.
  • Continue developing technical knowledge and professional skills under the guidance of senior architects and project managers.

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
  • 1-3 years of professional architectural experience in an architectural or multidisciplinary consulting environment.
  • Actively pursuing Architectural Registration (RA) and the Architectural Experience Program (AXP), with the goal of becoming a Registered Architect.
  • A genuine passion for transit, mobility, and public infrastructure and a desire to help shape the future of transportation.
  • Experience producing drawings and documentation using Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Familiarity with building systems, construction documentation, and architectural detailing.
  • Working knowledge of applicable building codes and accessibility requirements.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • A willingness to learn, ask questions, and contribute as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Experience That Would Be Benefiial
  • Internship or project experience involving transportation, transit, aviation, civic, higher education, healthcare, or other institutional facilities.
  • Familiarity with MicroStation or OpenBuildings Designer.
  • Experience using visualization tools such as Rhino, Enscape, Lumion, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar software.
  • Exposure to Design-Build or other collaborative project delivery methods.
  • Interest in sustainable design and resilient infrastructure.

TYLin is committed to pay equity.As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $82,000 - $120,000 annually for this position and local market.
