Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the General Surgery department provides optimal patient care utilizing knowledge and skills within the nursing process. The incumbent is responsible for patient outcomes throughout the entire episode of care, offering comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, as well as their families or caregivers.
Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients in a Level II Trauma OR setting.
  • Provide optimal care through continuous monitoring and assessment of patient needs.
  • Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive treatment.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices and adhere to quality standards specific to the patient population.
  • Engage with patients and their families as necessary in the care process.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • NV State RN license required prior to start.
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS.
  • Completed CMP within 1 year of start date for Pre-op/Recovery RN, PACU, OR and SDS.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a Trauma OR setting.
