Job description

Job Title: Drupal Content Manager
Clearance Required: Public Trust, US Citizen
Work Location: Remote

Alpha Omega is seeking a Drupal Content Manager to support the SAMHSA Web Modernization and Support contract. This role will support day-to-day web content operations, including Drupal content updates, page publishing, formatting, quality checks, and coordination with internal teams.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced web operations environment. This position supports federal digital communications and helps ensure SAMHSA web content is accurate, accessible, timely, and aligned with agency standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, edit, format, and publish web content in Drupal CMS.
  • Support page updates, metadata entry, taxonomy tagging, and content quality reviews.
  • Assist with content requests, publishing schedules, and website update tracking.
  • Review content for accuracy, formatting consistency, accessibility, and usability.
  • Support high-priority content updates, campaigns, and digital initiatives.
  • Coordinate with content leads, developers, UX/UI designers, QA testers, and project leadership.
  • Follow established content workflows, governance processes, and standard operating procedures.
  • Support Section 508 accessibility checks and federal web content best practices.
  • Assist with Jira ticket updates, status reporting, and content task tracking.

Required Qualifications 

  • 2+ years of experience supporting website content management, preferably in Drupal or a similar CMS.
  • Experience creating, editing, formatting, and publishing web content.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established content standards.
  • Basic understanding of web accessibility, Section 508, metadata, taxonomy, and content governance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or Agile delivery environments preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience supporting federal, health, public-sector, or large enterprise websites.
  • Familiarity with SAMHSA, HHS, or government communications environments.
  • Experience working with Drupal content types, menus, blocks, media libraries, and publishing workflows.
  • Knowledge of plain language, usability, and web content best practices.
  • Experience supporting accessibility reviews or content QA.

Salary and Benefit Information:

The likely salary range for this position is $63,000- $75,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position and could fall outside of this range.
