Goblin Studios is looking for a talented Scenic Painter / Fabricator to join our creative

team. If your idea of a good day involves making foam look like stone, plastic look like

metal, or turning rough fabrication into flawless finished pieces, we want to meet you.

We're looking for someone who enjoys transforming raw builds into believable works of

art using scenic painting techniques, fiberglass, Bondo, texturing, weathering, and

finishing. Every project is different, and every day brings a new creative challenge.

What You'll Be Doing

 Scenic painting on props, themed environments, and custom scenic elements.

 Applying textures, aging, weathering, faux finishes, and specialty paint

techniques.

 Working extensively with Bondo, fiberglass, body fillers, and other finishing

materials.

 Sanding, prepping, repairing, and refining fabricated pieces to create high-quality

finished products.

 Mixing paints, stains, glazes, and coatings to achieve custom finishes.

 Assisting with fabrication and finishing tasks as needed to support the team.

 Helping with on-site touch-ups and installations when projects require it.

 Keeping the paint area and shop clean, organized, and safe. Everyone cleans,

everyone organizes, and everyone helps keep the shop running smoothly. If

cleaning brushes, sweeping floors, or taking out trash isn't your thing, this

probably isn't the right shop for you.

 Working independently while collaborating with a team that values creativity,

craftsmanship, and getting the job done right.

What We're Looking For

Required

 Experience with scenic painting or decorative finishing.

 Strong experience using Bondo, fiberglass, body fillers, and surface preparation

techniques.

 Knowledge of sanding, priming, painting, sealing, and finishing processes.

 An eye for detail, color, texture, and realism.

 Reliable transportation.

 Airbrush experience.

 Experience creating faux finishes such as wood grain, stone, rust, concrete,

metal, or patinas.

 Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

 Positive attitude and willingness to jump in wherever needed.

 Ability to adapt as projects change and deadlines shift.

Bonus Points If You Have

 Experience with HVLP spray systems and spray finishing.

 Experience with large format murals

 Experience working in themed entertainment, film, television, museums, exhibits,

or haunted attractions.

The Schedule

This isn't your typical Monday-Friday, 9-to-5 job—and that's because creativity doesn't

always happen on a schedule.

Production deadlines and installation dates drive our calendar, so some weeks are

standard shop hours while others may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, or

longer days. Flexibility is part of the job, and our team works together to get amazing

projects across the finish line.

Pay

Compensation is based on experience and will be discussed during the interview

process.
