Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a passion for cake decoration and baking and enjoy working as part of a team. Responsibilities:
Providing incredible customer service by engaging customers in conversation using effective communication skills such as direct eye contact and a smile to build a rapport based on trust and satisfaction
Assisting customers with product selections, creative themes and designs and suggestive selling
Operating microwave, bread slicer, ovens and proof boxes
Decorating cakes with roses, decorative borders, flowers and balloons
Preparing breads, cakes, donuts and other pastries, including icings and frostings according to established recipes
Packaging fresh-baked products
Constantly clean work area and equipment following company safety and sanitation procedures
Other duties will be assigned at the discretion of the store management
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year experience cake decorating preferred

Additional Requirements - Internal Candidates:

  • Store/Facility Teammates: minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred.
  • Store Support Center Teammates:minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred.
  • Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline).
  • If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance.
