Job description

Olmsted Aggregate is a leading aggregate provider in the greater Rochester area. With four quarry and pit locations, we provide a variety of rock, stone, sand, and dirt for commercial and residential use. We are looking for an operator to join our team. Must have previous heavy equipment experience in a variety of machines.
Responsibilities:
  • Comply and follow MSHA regulations and company safety policies
  • Daily, pre and post inspection of equipment
  • Routine maintenance of equipment including grease, fuel, fluid checks, wash, etc.
  • Communicate closely with aggregate foreman for instructions
  • Notify managers of equipment repairs
  • Report safety concerns or incidents in a timely manner
  • Setup/tear down of crushing/screen/plants
  • Assist with screen changes - working on step ladder

Physical Demands:
  • Working in all weather conditions - Rain, sleet, snow, heat, cold
  • Exposure to dust, noise, and heavy machinery
  • Occasionally lift up to 100 lbs
  • Kneeling, squatting, standing for extended periods of time
  • Corrected vision and hearing within normal range to observe and communicate with crew members to assure safety
  • Looking for hazards other equipment/people etc.
  • Shovel/Raking/Scraping etc.
