Description:

ALG Label and Graphics is seeking to hire a Flexo Slitter/Rewind Operator for 2nd shift. This position is full-time with full company benefits. You will be working in a clean, climate-controlled environment in a manufacturing facility.


As a Slitter/Rewind Operator, you operate machinery used in the finishing processes for flexographic printing in the manufacturing of custom labels and decals.


SUMMARY:

The Slitter-Rewind Operator is responsible for setting up and operating a slitter/rewinder. Production requirements include producing products that meet our quality standards using inspection systems and or quality processes. Candidate must possess the ability to maintain quality production, inspection, and packaging of products produced.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Operate Slitter/rewind and inspection/finishing equipment safely and efficiently producing quality product.

2. Inspection of products produced to job specifications and quality standards.

3. Receives production order and job assignments from the supervisor/Lead.

4. Obtains required materials for job.

5. Completes production records as required by company guidelines.

6. Ensures proper cleanliness of work area.

7. Able to read, review and understand job tickets and proofs.

8. Project positive and professional behavior/attitude.

9. Responsive - timely & appropriately to all company personnel.

10. Follow administrative procedures established for inter/intradepartmental interaction.

11. All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  1. High School Diploma or GED
  2. Minimum 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment or related experience.
  3. Proficient computer skills required.
  4. Mechanical aptitude.
  5. Works well with hands, with good fine-motor skills.
  6. Detail oriented.
  7. Basic math skills.
  8. Work independently with little supervision.
