We are seeking an Engagement Programs Specialist for a fixed-term contract role running from start date through December 2026. This role will support two critical marketing functions across its duration: email marketing campaign execution, reporting to the Manager, Lifecycle Marketing (start date through mid-August) and event program support, reporting to the Director, Events (August through December).
Position Overview
The Engagement Programs Specialist will work closely with internal stakeholders across the marketing, sales, and product teams as part of the Go-to-Market Programs team. The first phase of this role focuses on architecting and executing email campaigns, nurture sequences, and promotional programs. The second phase shifts to supporting the planning and execution of Bonterra's event programs, including conferences and live or on-demand webinars.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is comfortable taking on new challenges and learning new processes and technology quickly. They will be detail-oriented, responsive, solution-oriented, and able to manage multiple workflows at once while meeting agreed-upon timelines. Strong writing skills and comfort with both email marketing and event operations are essential.
Responsibilities
Email Marketing (Start date - Mid-August)
- Manage email marketing channels and campaign activation, including identifying requirements, crafting email copy, partnering with internal teams for design templates and graphics, testing, launching, and reporting
- Partner with GTM teams to ensure on-brand, relevant messaging tailored to appropriate audience segments
- Analyze, report on, and optimize against key metrics including open rates, CTRs, revenue influence, and engagement activities
- Maintain a project timeline and track deliverables within project management tools to ensure on-time delivery of email marketing activities
- Drive various types of email marketing activities, including email sequences, nurture sequences, re-engagement activations, and newsletters across multiple markets
- Communicate email campaign updates to key stakeholders in a timely manner
Events Program Specialist (August - December)
- Project manage virtual and in-person events-including planning, scheduling, logistics, promotional assets, and speaker coordination-using a project management tool to ensure timely delivery and team alignment.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support all aspects of virtual event planning and execution for both Bonterra-hosted and third-party hosted webinars
- Support Senior Event Marketing Manager with expense tracking and event deck brief creation
- Write clear and compelling event communications using AI tools, including pre-event promotions, post-event follow-ups, sales outreach scripts, and landing pages
- Publish event assets in WordPress and Zoom, and create campaigns in GTM tools (Salesforce, Marketo) to promote virtual and in-person events
- Moderate Q&A during virtual event sessions and support moderator activities to ensure smooth attendee experiences, including serving as primary or backup moderator as needed to scale concurrent events
- Edit live webinar recordings in Premiere Pro and publish to YouTube to create on-demand content for continued audience engagement.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in marketing, with demonstrated experience in both email marketing and digital/event marketing
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to create compelling email copy and event communications from scratch and with the help of AI tools
- Experience with Marketo or similar marketing automation tools, Salesforce, and project management tools (e.g., Wrike); familiarity with Zoom Webinar or similar event platforms a plus
- Comfort with email marketing analytics and the ability to benchmark and optimize performance across campaign types
- Excellent public speaking skills and comfort presenting to a virtual audience
- Creative, innovative, and resourceful problem-solver with a positive, get-it-done attitude
- Ability to work within a highly-collaborative, fast-paced, and cross-functional team
- Ability to find solutions in an ever-changing environment with competing priorities
- Wanting to learn new skills, proactively provide new ideas, and contribute meaningfully during a defined contract period
- Comfortable working in a remote environment and connecting on camera regularly with peers
