Job description

Job Type
Full-time
Description
Reports to: Director of Business Systems & IT
Type: Full-time, Exempt
Travel: Up to 25%
Pay Range: $90,000-$100,000
Lead multi-site deployments across existing sites, new construction, and newly acquired companies-standardising networks, voice/telephony, point-of-sale (POS), surveillance, access control (ACS), and operational technology (OT) on fuel trucks and at fuel farms. Scope includes merging/migrating email tenants; on-premises and cloud file services; domains/directories; and other accounts and systems. This is a hybrid project-management + hands-on role: plan and drive delivery, and step in as a technical resource when needed.
What You'll Do
Plan & deliver
  • Own scope, schedule, budget, risks, vendor coordination, and stakeholder communications for assigned projects.
  • Run discovery and site assessments; create deployment plans and cutover runbooks; manage change approvals.
  • Coordinate local teams, third-party installers, and internal SMEs to hit go-live dates with minimal downtime.
  • Document as-built configurations, SOPs, and knowledge articles.
Be a hands-on technical resource when necessary
  • Configure and validate network gear, VoIP endpoints, POS software, and cameras/NVRs.
  • Support OT rollouts to fuel trucks and fuel farms (edge devices/sensors, onboard hardware, software configuration, connectivity checks); coordinate with vendors.
  • Execute/oversee site acceptance testing; troubleshoot issues during pilots and cutovers.
Raise the bar
  • Establish repeatable templates, checklists, and "golden paths" for future rollouts.
  • Track delivery KPIs and vendor performance; drive continuous improvement across cycles.

About the Projects
  • Standardised site infrastructure: LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, internet failover, VPN/remote access, and VoIP.
  • Software: POS applications and peripherals, plus aviation-specific business-critical applications.
  • Physical security: Surveillance and access control systems.
  • Fuel operations tech: Hardware/software rollouts to fuel trucks and fuel farms, device connectivity, telemetry, and field validations.
  • Integration & data touchpoints: Discovery, device RMM enrollment, email tenant and file migration, and basic data/reporting enablement for new sites.
What Success Looks Like (6-12 months)
  • Greater than or equal to 90% of site cutovers delivered on time and on budget.
  • First-pass site acceptance greater than or equal to 95% (minimal rework).
  • Standard runbooks/templates adopted; average time-to-standards per site decreased by 25-40%.
  • Post-cutover incident volume decreased quarter-over-quarter; Sev-1/2 MTTR decreased by 50%.
  • Positive stakeholder feedback from local teams and vendor partners.

Requirements
  • 4+ years delivering IT rollouts or implementations in multi-site environments (e.g., retail, logistics, field services, M&A integration).
  • Solid PM toolkit (work breakdown, critical path, vendor/SOW management, RAID, change control) and clear, concise written updates.
  • Hands-on configuration/troubleshooting skills.
  • Comfort working in active operational areas; readiness for off-hours cutovers and on-site work when needed.
Preferred:
  • Experience in the aviation industry.
  • Exposure to OT/IoT or fleet/telematics; experience around fuel facilities or other safety-sensitive industrial sites.
  • Familiarity with identity/SSO, MDM/endpoint management, and ITSM tools (incident/change, CMDB).
  • Certifications (e.g., PMP/PMI-ACP/PRINCE2, CCNA/Network+, Security+, vendor-specific POS/VMS/ACS).
