Role Summary
A highly motivated Data Engineer with a passion for cloud computing is sought to support large-scale data systems in a remote environment. This role involves managing data ingestion pipelines, automating processes, and applying analytical skills to optimize data workflows. The ideal candidate will have experience working with cloud-based data platforms and a strong foundation in data management and automation.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and workflows in cloud environments, primarily using BigQuery or equivalent platforms.
  • Automate data ingestion processes utilizing tools such as Airflow or similar automation frameworks.
  • Manage large datasets efficiently, ensuring data integrity and performance optimization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data integration, testing, and deployment within production environments.
  • Implement best practices for change management and version control during development cycles.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data processing issues, applying analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Document data workflows and processes clearly for team reference and compliance purposes.
  • Support data migration efforts from on-premise or hosted platforms to cloud-based solutions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data infrastructure capabilities.
  • Stay current with evolving cloud data technologies and incorporate innovative solutions as appropriate.

Qualifications

Publishing Pay Range: $50.00 - $52.00 hourly

This is a fully remote role and can be performed from an approved location.
