Business Development Representative

Your Mission

As a Business Development Representative at Open Systems, you will be the driving force behind generating new business opportunities within the US and EMEA mid-market segment (500 to 25,000 users). You will engage prospects through targeted outreach, qualification, and discovery, positioning Open Systems' suite of solutions including SASE, SSE, SD-WAN, and Global Connectivity as the trusted choice against key competitors. Your focus will be on sparking meaningful conversations, creating a strong pipeline for the sales team, and contributing to revenue growth in a dynamic, high-growth environment.


Your Key Responsibilities

  • Generate opportunities by assessing the client's needs and handing the opportunity over to the appropriate Sales team member in a timely manner.
  • Research and build prospect accounts, identifying new sales opportunities through outbound efforts (e.g. cold calls, emails, event based campaigning, content and vertical campaigns and social media).
  • Cultivate leads by assessing the opportunity, communicating the value propositions for the customer, and following up in a timely manner.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key executives and decision-makers
  • Generate and conduct due diligence on inbound and outbound leads.
  • Report on territory and lead activity to the manager and track and maintain prospects, as well as update contact information in CRM
  • Ensure accurate data entry of own activities once the opportunity has been handed off.
  • Assimilate product and market knowledge and effectively communicate the benefits and feature set of Open Systems to prospects over the telephone.
  • Work in collaboration with marketing to develop programs that will generate the best leads.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership with customers and stay apprised of the industry trends by contributing to social media sites (i.e. X, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.)

Your Skills & Experience

  • Fluent in English (German is a plus)
  • At least 3 years of inside sales experience, preferably in technology sales.
  • Strong prospecting skills including cold calling, email, social media, etc.
  • Driven to succeed and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • A passion for building new business
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; you are a clear, concise and compelling storyteller.
  • Proficient in time management, setting priorities, and taking initiative.
  • Prior experience in Hubspot, Salesloft etc.
