Job Summary:

The Professional Education & Development Senior Advisor (hereafter "the role") is responsible for the development, socialization, and execution of strategies that measurably grow CooperVision US' (hereafter "CVI") educational impact with both internal and external audiences. This includes CVI's sales organization and other internal commercial partners, as well as practicing eye care professionals and optometry students (hereafter "customers").

A core focus of the role is to design, deliver, and continuously evolve technical training programs related to CVI products and to build and maintain a scalable, digital learning ecosystem that supports ongoing education, engagement, and professional development for external customers, in close partnership with the broader commercial organization.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent written, oral, teaching and presentation skills. 

  • Strong project management and organization skills

  • Hands-on go-getter, willing to roll up his/her sleeves and personally act to drive success.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills; ability to lead diverse, remote and cross-functional teams.

  • Superior educational program planning and delivery skills which allow achievement of strategic and business goals. 

  • Excellent applied qualitative and quantitative analytic skills.

  • Proficiency with office software including Microsoft Office and Outlook.

Work Environment:

  • Remote with some travel to other CVI locations, customer sites and industry events.

  • Sedentary to light physical effort necessary to perform the job. 

  • There will be extended periods of sitting and using a computer.

  • Travel, predominantly domestic, approximately 20%.

Experience:

  • Minimum of ten years in optical industry, preferably in a professional or medical affairs role with extensive experience in provider education and go-to-market strategy

    • Current relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and industry experts would be a plus

    • Experience with both independent and retail optometric practices would be a plus

    • Experience in compliance requirements for scientific/clinical content a plus.

  • Experience with LMS systems and platforms preferred. 

  • Experience in writing and publication of scientific/clinical materials preferred.

Education:

  • Doctor of Optometry Required

Internal Technical Training & Capability Development:

  • Lead the strategy, design, and execution of internal technical training programs focused on CVI product technologies, clinical evidence, and application in practice.
  • Partner with sales leadership, training, and commercial enablement teams to ensure internal teams are equipped with consistent, accurate, and actionable product knowledge.
  • Oversee the development of modular, role-based training curricula that support onboarding, continuous learning, and advanced product mastery.
  • Ensure training programs are aligned with CVI's commercial priorities, regulatory requirements, and brand standards.

External Education & Digital Learning Ecosystem:

  • Build, evolve, and maintain a robust digital learning ecosystem for external customers, incorporating live programs, virtual events, on-demand learning, and self-directed educational pathways.
  • Own the strategy for CVI's learning platforms, ensuring they are user-centered, data-informed, scalable, and aligned to customer needs and behaviors.
  • Lead the development of educational content that enables customers to deepen understanding of CVI products, technologies, and practice growth opportunities.
  • Establish metrics and evaluation frameworks to assess engagement, learning outcomes, and business impact across all educational touchpoints.
  • Ensure seamless integration between digital education, live experiences, and broader marketing and customer engagement initiatives.

Educational Strategy & Thought Leadership:

  • Partner with brand and customer marketing teams to develop coordinated educational plans that reinforce CVI's product portfolio, innovation pipeline, and leadership in eye care.
  • Position CVI as a trusted educational and scientific authority by delivering programs grounded in clinical evidence, emerging science, and real-world application.
  • Serve as the Professional Affairs point of contact for U.S. scientific meeting strategy, including congress planning, educational programming, and speaker engagement.

External Engagement & Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Support CVI's external engagement with national optometric associations through compliant and impactful education and development initiatives.
  • Collaborate with CVI's global marketing and public relations teams to ensure continuity of messaging, alignment of educational priorities, and cross-functional leverage of content and platforms.
  • Partner with compliance, legal, and medical affairs to ensure all educational activities meet regulatory, ethical, and industry standards.
