Job description

Overview

The DevOps Engineer will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure, scalable, and reliable CI/CD pipelines to accelerate software delivery across development teams. This role is heavily focused on pipeline automation, from code commit to production deployment - ensuring testing, compliance, and security are seamlessly integrated into every stage. The ideal candidate brings a deep automation mindset and thrives on creating developer-friendly workflows that reduce friction, improve reliability, and enforce best practices. Salary range for the role is between $120,000 and $130,000 with an annual bonus. The position can be 100% remote, but if located in the Agoura Hills, CA area the expectation will be that the role is hybrid.

Responsibilities
  • Architect and implement CI/CD pipelines that automate build, test, and deployment processes across multiple environments.
  • Integrate quality gates, security scanning, and compliance checks into all stages of the pipeline (e.g., SAST, DAST, dependency scanning).
  • Automate approval workflows and pull request validation to enforce code quality and security standards.
  • Maintain and optimize pipeline performance for speed, reliability, and observability.
  • Collaborate closely with developers to integrate pipelines into existing workflows, resolve build issues, and reduce friction.
  • Leverage GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and other tools to standardize CI/CD processes.
  • Support IaC and configuration management as part of deployment automation using Terraform and Ansible.
  • Create detailed documentation and runbooks for pipeline infrastructure and deployment procedures.
  • Advocate for and implement DevOps best practices across the engineering organization.

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in production environments.
  • Strong expertise with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, and/or Jenkins.
  • Experience integrating automated testing and security tools into the CI/CD lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK) and configuration management (e.g., Ansible).
  • Proficiency with Git, branching strategies, and automated pull request validation.
  • Working knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in distributed environments.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with development teams.
