We have a great team, we’re growing fast and have a winning culture based on innovation, teamwork, and mutual respect.

Job Overview

We are seeking a customer expansion–driven Account Manager to join the Rightworks Sales organization. This role is designed for a seller who thrives on outbound engagement into an existing customer base, uncovers growth opportunities, and consistently converts those opportunities into revenue.

As an Account Manager, you will own a portfolio of existing customers within a territory and act as the primary driver of upsell, cross-sell, and expansion revenue. Using a consultative but sales‑led approach, you will proactively prospect within accounts, set meetings, run discovery, deliver compelling recommendations, and close new business. This is a full-cycle sales role with a strong emphasis on self-generated pipeline, disciplined forecasting, and consistent quota attainment.

Reporting to the Sales Manager, successful Account Managers are competitive, metrics-driven sellers who take ownership of results and treat their book of business like a territory.

This is a remote or hybrid work position.

Responsibilities

  • Own and grow revenue for a portfolio of assigned accounts within a territory, with full accountability for pipeline creation, deal progression, and closed-won results

  • Execute proactive outbound sales motions (calls, emails, and social touches) to generate qualified meetings and uncover expansion opportunities

  • Position Rightworks as the trusted, one-stop technology partner for accounting firms, spanning solutions from QuickBooks hosting to fully outsourced IT

  • Lead high-impact discovery and consultative sales conversations focused on customer pain points, business outcomes, and ROI

  • Consistently build, manage, and forecast pipeline to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual quotas

  • Drive deals through the full sales cycle—from prospecting and qualification to proposal, negotiation, and close

  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Product, and Channel teams to align messaging, campaigns, and customer strategies

  • Identify patterns, objections, and gaps in the sales motion and recommend process improvements to increase win rates and efficiency

  • Maintain a strong understanding of the accounting industry, including trends, competitive landscape, and evolving technology needs

  • Attend industry events, association meetings, and customer visits as needed to support pipeline generation and deal closure

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of quota-carrying SaaS sales experience, with demonstrated success in outbound selling

  • Strong preference for experience selling technology solutions to accounting firms or professional services organizations

  • Proven ability to generate pipeline through consistent outbound prospecting (calls, emails, sequences)

  • Experience with sales productivity and forecasting tools such as Salesforce, Clari, and Groove

  • Track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets

  • Confident, persuasive communicator with strong presentation and discovery skills

  • Highly organized, data-driven, and comfortable managing multiple opportunities simultaneously

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to tie solutions to business outcomes and value

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Business, Marketing, Technology, or related field)

Eligibility Requirements

  • This role is open to US Citizens or permanent residents authorized to work in the United States. Rightworks LLC is unable to offer visa sponsorship.

  • Due to specific state regulations, we are unable to accept applications from residents of California, Hawaii, or Alaska.

  • Relocation will not be offered for this position.

Compensation

Our Compensation range for this role ranges from $110,000 to $120,000 annually, OTE uncapped, and is determined based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, and internal equity.

Benefits

To provide best-in-class solutions, we need a best-in-class team. We offer competitive salaries to recruit the best talent. We provide company-paid short and long-term disability insurance, life insurance and a generous 401K match. We offer highly affordable medical, dental, vision coverage, and many other valuable benefits. We offer flexible PTO, and numerous paid holidays, affording you the time to be there for what is important in your life. We encourage giving back to our communities by providing paid volunteer time off. We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer!
