MSRs develop strong consultative relationships with bakery customers, providing exceptional service, product knowledge, and tailored business solutions. This role has a heavy focus on further developing the territory by prospecting and generating new business, expanding existing accounts, while actively promoting Dawn?s full portfolio of products, services, and digital tools, including online ordering and payment platforms. MSRs operate with a high degree of autonomy, manage a defined customer base, and report directly to a Market Sales Manager. The compensation structure includes a competitive base salary plus commission.Work Environment & Travel Requirements: This is a remote position with regular field-travel, including occasional overnights, with expectations to attend quarterly sales meetings at the Denver Distribution Center. The role supports the Albuquerque-Santa Fe territory, covering approximately a 250-mile span. Candidates must reside within Albuquerque, Santa Fe, or the surrounding area to be considered, as relocation assistance is not available for this position.What will you do as a Market Sales Representative II at Dawn Foods?Customer Relationships, Development, & Sales Growth Build and maintain strong, consultative relationships with bakery customers.Develop new business opportunities and expand territory coverage through strategic prospecting, new customer acquisition, and market expansion initiatives.Drive profitable sales growth by strengthening existing customer relationships and minimizing lost business.Heavy focus on driving new business development to gain new customersDeliver on-site consultations and provide expert product and service recommendations tailored to customer needs.Promote and represent the full Dawn value proposition, including products, services, and digital tools.Sales Selling & Account ManagementPrepare estimates, calculate margins, and negotiate pricing and terms using Dawn?s pricing models.Understand and communicate Dawn?s credit policies and payment terms to customers.Stay informed on regional market trends, product innovations, and competitor activity to identify new opportunities.Technology & Digital EngagementPromote and demonstrate Dawn?s online ordering platform to drive adoption and customer engagement.Document sales activities and manage your pipeline using Salesforce CRM.Educate customers on digital tools, including Dawn?s payment portal.Collaboration & Operational SupportPartner with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and budget alignment.Complete administrative tasks such as maintaining accurate sales records, submitting reports, and managing expenses.Continuous Learning & Company CultureParticipate in training and experiential learning to enhance product knowledge and sales capabilities.Apply learning in customer interactions to drive results.Demonstrate Dawn?s core values and contribute to the Dawn Circle of Excellence.Other duties as assignedWhat Does It Take to be a Market Sales Representative II at Dawn Foods? Below are the minimum qualifications to be a fit for this job. A High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is requiredA Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Culinary Arts, or similar is preferredA minimum of 5 years of professional experience in customer-facing outside sales roles, with a proven ability to manage a portfolio of accounts, expand product offerings within existing accounts, and drive new business developmentConsultative sales experience with B2B foodservice or similar distribution models.Working knowledge of bakery products, ingredients, raw materials, baking supplies, and bakery operations is strongly preferred.Proficient with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and a variety of digital tools, with the ability to efficiently navigate and utilize software applications in a sales or customer-facing environment.Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and engage customers through a personable, consultative approach.An analytical mindset with the ability to calculate sales margins and assess profitabilityResults-oriented with a strong focus on execution, accountability, and achieving measurable outcomes.Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred, for the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse customer base.Physical Demands & Work EnvironmentThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
