Now Hiring: Medical Coding Specialist (Remote)
Pay: $26-$34/hour
Location: Fully remote
Duration: 2+ months (potential to extend)
Schedule: Full time, Monday-Friday
We are seeking an experienced Medical Coding Specialist to support a high volume ambulatory coding team as coding transitions in house. This is a fully remote contract role anticipated to last 2+ months, with potential to extend based on business needs.
Duties:
  • Accurately code high volume ambulatory encounters
  • Utilize NextGen for daily coding activities
  • Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes
  • Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and payer requirements
  • Collaborate with billing and clinical teams to resolve coding questions
  • Maintain productivity and quality standards in a fast paced environment
Requirements:
  • Active coding certification (CPC, CCS, or equivalent - required)
  • Hands on, recent experience using NextGen (required)
  • Ambulatory coding experience (required)
  • Experience in one or more of the following specialties:
    • Cardiology
    • Orthopedics
    • Vascular
    • Radiology
    • Radiation Oncology / Therapy
  • Proven ability to manage high volume workloads with accuracy
  • Strong attention to detail and consistency
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Comfortable meeting productivity and quality benchmarks
