Summary
You will serve as a MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the MARINE CORPS PETROLEUM OFFICE (MCPO) of MARCORPS NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION.

  • You will provide effective support of worldwide routine and emergent Marine Corps petroleum, oil, and lubricants (POL) requirements.
  • You will develop plans that identify actions, responsibilities, and schedules that must be met to ensure that proper and timely customer support is provided.
  • You will analyze petroleum related directives from higher authority and coordinate their implementation.
  • You will develop, publish, disseminate, and modify directive and publication pertaining petroleum operations and requirements.
  • You will serve as an expert planner and advisor for Marine Corps policy regarding fuel requirements in support of contingency/mobilization planning/readiness or planned and unplanned fleet operation within Department of Defense constraints.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
  • This position requires significant physical dexterity including walking, bending, and climbing associated with on-site inspections and off-site meetings at ashore locations.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Developing, interpreting, and implementing policies, plans, and procedures for major program activities; managing complex projects, establishing enterprise-wide standards, and building relationships with senior logistics stakeholders; and exercising independent judgment with minimal technical guidance to resolve critical operational conflicts and integrate complex information, technologies, and systems.
