We're seeking a Claims Team Leader to lead and support a high-performing claims team in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you'll oversee complex claims operations, coach and develop team members, and drive performance while ensuring quality, compliance, and operational excellence. You'll play a key role in implementing department and company initiatives, leading change management efforts, and applying Lean principles to improve processes and support business growth. WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

  • Estimated Salary: $75,500 - $80,000, plus annual bonus opportunity.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Lead and manage Claims department operations, including workforce planning, staffing, performance management, coaching, employee development, and compliance with HR policies and employment guidelines.
  • Monitor team performance using operational metrics to ensure productivity, quality, timeliness, and service standards are consistently achieved while driving continuous process improvement through Lean principles.
  • Oversee departmental compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and claims handling standards, implementing corrective actions and process enhancements to improve efficiency and reduce risk.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and serve as a Claims subject matter expert, resolving escalated issues, supporting organizational initiatives, and partnering with legal and business stakeholders as needed.
  • Develop strategic business plans, budgets, and training programs while fostering a high-performing team through strong leadership, talent development, sound decision-making, and a focus on operational excellence.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience, with a strong background in insurance and knowledge of life, health, annuity, pension, and supplemental products.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management experience in a customer service environment, with excellent analytical, decision-making, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment using sound judgment and project management methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of business operations, systems technology, corporate policies, and applicable federal and state insurance regulations, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and related business software.
  • Creative, resilient, and adaptable professional with the ability to travel up to 10% as business needs require.
  • You promote a collaborative culture, value different ideas and opinions, and listen courageously, remaining curious in all that you do.
  • Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.
