Job description

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Cloud Data Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise data solutions within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This role is responsible for architecting scalable, secure, and high-performing data platforms that support analytics, operational reporting, application integrations, and business transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in OCI data services, cloud architecture, data integration, governance, and enterprise data management. This person must be able to work Hawaii timezone. Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement enterprise-wide data architectures utilizing Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
  • Architect and maintain scalable data lakes, data warehouses, and cloud-based data platforms.
  • Develop data models, integration frameworks, and enterprise data standards.
  • Lead migration efforts from on-premises databases and legacy applications to OCI.
  • Design and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration pipelines using OCI Data Integration, Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), Oracle GoldenGate, and related technologies.
  • Establish data governance, metadata management, lineage tracking, and data quality frameworks.
  • Collaborate with business, application, and infrastructure teams to align data architecture with organizational goals.
  • Optimize cloud data environments for performance, scalability, security, and cost efficiency.
  • Implement OCI security best practices including Identity & Access Management (IAM), encryption, network security, and data protection controls.
  • Define and maintain high-availability, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.
  • Evaluate new technologies and provide recommendations to modernize enterprise data capabilities.
  • Create architecture documentation, standards, roadmaps, and technical designs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in data architecture, database engineering, or cloud data platforms.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
  • Strong experience with Oracle Autonomous Database, Oracle Data Integration, ODI, Oracle GoldenGate, Object Storage, and related OCI services.
  • Experience designing enterprise data warehouses, data lakes, and large-scale integration solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, data governance, and master data management.
  • Experience migrating enterprise workloads from on-premises environments to cloud platforms.
  • Understanding of cloud security, compliance, backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability architectures.
  • Proficiency with SQL, database performance tuning, and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Oracle Cloud certifications are highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $80.00/hr.
