Fr. Meyer's Sohn (FMS) is seeking an Ocean Freight Sales Manager to drive new business across the U.S./Canada Europe and India Subcontinent (ISC) trade lanes. If you're a motivated sales hunter with freight forwarding experience and a passion for international logistics, this is an outstanding opportunity to grow your career while earning uncapped commissions.
What You'll Do- Develop and close new business opportunities for ocean freight services.
- Sell FCL, LCL, and project cargo solutions to importers, exporters, manufacturers, and shippers.
- Build long-term relationships with customers, carriers, and strategic partners.
- Collaborate with pricing and operations teams to deliver competitive logistics solutions.
- Manage a strong sales pipeline and consistently meet or exceed sales goals.
- Monitor freight rates, carrier capacity, and market trends to identify new opportunities.
- Represent FMS at customer meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities.
- 5+ years of ocean freight sales, freight forwarding, or logistics business development experience.
- Proven success generating new business and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong knowledge of Transatlantic and/or India Subcontinent (ISC) trade lanes.
- Experience selling international ocean freight, including FCL and LCL services.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-driven and comfortable working remotely with minimal supervision.
- Remote position based in the U.S. or Canada.
