About the Role
We're looking for a People Operations (HR) Coordinator reporting to and supporting the Director of People & Culture in organizing, executing, and documenting key HR processes. This role plays a vital part in ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance across onboarding, offboarding, employee changes, and HR data management.
The ideal candidate is well versed in human resource processes and compliance, highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable navigating complexity in a multi-location environment. You'll help bring structure to our people operations and support the foundation of Fit Fusion's growing HR function.
We're a team of culture catalysts, employee experience engineers, workforce wizards, deadline dodgers, compliance coordinators, change champions, and acquisition analysts. If this sounds like you, you'll fit right in!
What You'll Do
  • Process new hires, terminations, and employee changes (part-time to full-time, title, pay, and transfer updates).
  • Prepare and route employment agreements, acknowledgments, and related documents through Adobe Sign and UKG Ready.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure all required documentation is filed and accessible.
  • Track onboarding and compliance items, including I-9s and state-specific notices.
  • Audit and update employee data in UKG; support reporting and clean-up projects.
  • Help document standard operating procedures for recurring HR tasks.
  • Assist the team with benefits administration, employee relations, workers compensation, unemployment & wage claims, and employment verification requests
  • Track and update policies, forms, handbook acknowledgments, and compliance postings.
  • Utilize and update Asana project boards via a combination of manual input, automation & AI assistance
  • Provide administrative support for department initiatives and special projects.

What We're Looking For
  • Minimum of two (2) years of HR experience Generalist experience in a multi-location organization (required).
  • Bachelors degree preferred but not required
  • Applicants with UKG Ready or other UKG platforms, Asana or Monday, JotForm, CareerPlug, and/or ZenDesk will be given preference
  • Working knowledge of and ability to successfully execute processes required to adhere to multi-state labor and employment laws (required)
  • Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and follow-through.
  • Self starter who prefers a remote setting and can work independently but also thrives when collaborating and learning from like minded HR professionals
  • Ability to properly prioritize, streamline tasks, and decipher when to act autonomously and when escalation to leadership is necessary
  • Comfortable handling confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365, Zoom Workplace and digital workflow/filing tools.
  • Desire to utilize AI assistance while acknowledging need to ensure accuracy
  • Someone who can operate in the grey and think outside the box while ensuring compliance
  • Ability to project friendly professionalism and authority when needed while also being able to turn it off in order to connect and enjoy your team
  • Thrives in an environment where processes are being built, refined, automated, and streamlined.
