Equivity is seeking an experienced virtual paralegal to support attorneys in probate and estate administration matters. This is a remote opportunity to help guide families through the probate process with professionalism, efficiency, and compassion. Candidates should be well-versed in court procedures, document preparation, and managing deadlines associated with estate administration.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft and file probate court documents, including petitions, notices, waivers, inventories, accountings, and closing statements.
  • Prepare related correspondence and forms for clients, courts, and financial institutions.
  • Track probate timelines and court deadlines, ensuring timely filings and compliance.
  • Communicate with court clerks and maintain current knowledge of local rules and filing requirements.
  • Manage case files, task lists, and calendars using cloud-based legal software.
  • Assist with marshalling assets, preparing reports, and tracking distributions.
  • Maintain proactive and professional communication with clients during standard business hours (9 AM - 6 PM).

About You:
  • Minimum of 3 years of recent paralegal experience handling probate and estate administration matters.
  • Skilled in preparing and filing probate documents with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with state-specific probate processes and court systems.
