The Role
The Account Lead, Entertainment is a strategic vertical sales role responsible for both business development and account management across the entertainment segment. This role manages a portfolio of entertainment accounts while proactively identifying, qualifying, and developing new relationships to drive preference and loyalty for Hyatt-branded hotels. Reporting to the Regional Director, HSF-National Sales, the Account Lead will establish and execute account action plans focused on total account revenue growth, including group, transient, extended stay, production, project-based, and special event business for current, new, and focus hotels. This role requires strong knowledge of the entertainment market, including buyer expectations, sourcing behavior, production timelines, travel patterns, and the unique service needs of entertainment customers.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of entertainment accounts while developing new business opportunities within the vertical.
• Build and maintain deep account intelligence, including key buyers, influencers, production contacts, travel patterns, sourcing preferences, business potential, competitive set, and next steps.
• Develop and execute account plans that support revenue growth across group, transient, extended stay, production, project-based, and special event business.
• Prospect and qualify new entertainment, media, production, sports, music, streaming, live event, talent, and related accounts with potential for Hyatt hotels.
• Educate entertainment buyers on Hyatt brands, hotel capabilities, location fit, service standards, and solutions relevant to their business needs.
• Ensure managed entertainment accounts include Hyatt in relevant group, transient, production, project, and event sourcing opportunities.
• Partner with hotel sales teams, operators, revenue management, and commercial stakeholders to align customer needs with hotel priorities and win business.
• Support customer negotiations, hotel communication, and opportunity follow-up with urgency, discretion, and strong attention to detail.
• Stay current on entertainment industry trends, production activity, event calendars, market conditions, forecasts, and competitive intelligence.
• Use CRM, sourcing platforms, analytics, and industry tools to document activity, prioritize opportunities, and measure account performance.
• Champion Hyatt initiatives and priorities with entertainment customers as appropriate, including new hotel openings, focus hotels, Essentials brands, and special initiatives.
• Elevate the voice of the entertainment customer within Hyatt and participate in cross-functional projects that support National Sales priorities.
