Responsibilities
Octave is seeking a Data Architecture Product Manager to join out team. The Data Architecture Product Manager will define and drive the data architecture and information management strategy for the Octave platform, shaping how data is structured, contextualized, and delivered as data products across Octave's portfolio.
This role focuses on building the foundational data layer that connects products and enables enterprise-scale data strategies, while defining how that data is organized into reusable, high-value information assets. A key objective is enabling data to flow across the full asset lifecycle, unlocking insights that are not possible within individual products.
This position is centered on how data is modeled, governed, and productized; leveraging ontology and knowledge graph frameworks to create a coherent, enterprise-ready data foundation that feeds Octave's AI platform.
Working closely with Development, Solution Design, and Pillar product leaders, this role bridges product-level data models with enterprise data environments and defines how data is organized, related, and exposed as scalable platform capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and drive the data architecture and information management vision for the Octave platform, aligned with enterprise data strategies and customer needs.
  • Design and evolve ontology, semantic models, and knowledge graph frameworks to contextualize and relate data across products and domains.
  • Define and manage data products, ensuring data is structured, governed, and exposed as reusable, high-value platform capabilities.
  • Collaborate with Development and Solution Design teams to implement scalable data architecture patterns and ensure alignment with platform strategy.
  • Partner with pillar leaders across Design, Build, Operate, and Protect to advise on data best practices and align data models with product strategies.
  • Ensure the data layer enables AI, analytics, and automation by serving as a foundational input to the Octave AI platform.
  • Engage with customers to understand enterprise data strategies and translate those insights into product and platform capabilities.
  • Work with commercial and pricing teams to define monetization approaches for data and information services.
  • Ability to travel approximately 15%; domestic and international

Education / Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
  • 7+ years of experience in product management, data architecture, or enterprise data platforms.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise data architecture, including data modeling, information management, and governance.
  • Experience with ontology design, semantic models, or knowledge graph technologies.
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms and ecosystems (Azure preferred).
  • Proven ability to work across product, engineering, and architecture teams to deliver platform capabilities.

Preferred Experience
  • Experience building or scaling data platforms that support AI/ML or advanced analytics.
  • Familiarity with industry data standards (e.g., ISO 15926, CFIHOS, DEXPI) or similar frameworks.
  • Experience working in industrial domains such as energy, manufacturing, or infrastructure.
  • Exposure to data monetization strategies or usage-based data services.
