Job description

About the Opportunity

Kensington Tours has spent two decades building a reputation as the world's leading provider of private guided travel. Now we're building the editorial voice to match.

This is not a content marketing role. We're looking for an editor who thinks like the teams behind the world's most trusted financial and news publications, someone who understands that authority is earned through curation, consistency, and editorial discipline. You'll shape how Kensington Tours communicates the world of travel to our clients: what's happening, what matters, and what it means for how they should plan their next journey.

The model is closer to creating a highly anticipated, trusted intelligence briefing than a travel magazine. We draw from the best trade and consumer sources in the industry. We add Kensington's expert lens. We deliver something Kensington clients can't get anywhere else.

What You'll Own

Editorial Strategy & Curation

  • Create and drive the editorial calendar and publishing cadence for Kensington's travel intelligence newsletters.
  • Leverage AI to curate and synthesize content from leading travel trade and consumer publications into a coherent weekly briefing across regions and travel categories that inform and inspire.
  • Create and write the editorial view that layers Kensington's expert perspective onto curated stories across digital channels.
  • Design and iterate on newsletter layout and templates, including sections for breaking travel news, regional updates, product spotlights, and partner integrations.

Trust & Credibility

  • Build source relationships with travel publications; negotiate content-sharing arrangements that benefit both parties.
  • Establish editorial standards, style and editorial tone that position Kensington as the credible, trusted authoritative voice.
  • Maintain clear separation between news judgment and commercial interests.
  • Integrate unlocked insight from Kensington's Destination Expert and Kensington team.

Performance & Iteration

  • Skilled in leading structured A/B testing to determine what formats and stories drive optimal engagement, sales leads and KPI achievement.
  • Track reader behaviour and feedback to continuously sharpen editorial
  • Analyze, report and present to leadership on newsletter performance, your optimizations and its direct impact on leads and travel bookings
What You Bring
  • 10+ years of editorial and writing experience at a recognized news or media organization, journalism background strongly preferred.
  • Experience building editorial credibility with a deep passion for travel
  • Confident in leveraging AI and tools to scan dozens of sources and synthesize what matters for a sophisticated, time-pressed audience.
  • Experience in newsletter product development: layout, hierarchy, pacing, to drive optimization of KPI delivery.
  • Experience managing content-sharing or syndication relationships with publishers.
  • Skilled in A/B testing and proficient in analytics and PBI to drive constant optimizations of KPI delivery
  • Confidence in using AI tools, Asana and HubSpot are ideal
