Job description

Quaise Energy is unlocking Earth's deep heat to deliver clean, reliable, baseload energy at scale – almost anywhere in the world. As both a technology innovator and project developer, Quaise builds and operates solutions that harness superhot geothermal energy far below the surface, enabling power generation that can rival the output of today's most efficient fossil fuel and nuclear plants. Leveraging millimeter wave drilling, developed after more than a decade of research at MIT, Quaise's mission is to make superhot geothermal a backbone of the modern energy system, offering affordable, zero-carbon power and true energy independence for communities and nations everywhere.

The Senior Communications Specialist will play a defining, hands-on role in shaping Quaise Energy's online, physical, and internal engagement. You will lead all social media channels, event execution, internal communications, and day-to-day content development. Reporting to the Director of Communications, you will work closely with leadership, technical teams, human resources, external partners, and creative vendors to translate Quaise's progress into highly compelling, accurate content and events.

In this role, you will manage complex communications initiatives, write with clarity, think strategically, and bring energy and creativity to your work. You will help Quaise communicate with the credibility and imagination of a company redefining the global energy landscape by translating groundbreaking technology into compelling stories that resonate with diverse audiences. Your work will play a key role in building a brand that inspires and excites employees, customers, investors, partners, and the broader energy community.

Additional responsibilities include maintaining a positive corporate culture, promoting a safe and creative work environment, identifying and supporting opportunities for external collaborations, and other activities designed to improve Quaise.

Work Location: Flexible. Hybrid preferred in Cambridge, MA; Houston, TX; or Bend, OR, with consideration for fully remote candidates.

  • Draft, edit, schedule, and publish company posts, executive thought leadership, event content, project updates, technical explainers, employee stories, and culture content.
  • Help translate complex topics, including superhot geothermal energy and millimeter wave drilling, into clear, engaging content for broad audiences.
  • Identify strong story angles from across the company, including technical milestones, field activity, partnerships, hiring, culture, and market developments.
  • Maintain and manage editorial calendars, review workflows, campaign plans, content libraries, messaging documents, and recurring templates.
  • Track and analyze social media performance, audience growth, engagement, and content themes, and recommend ways to improve reach and quality.

  • Help identify high-value conferences, speaking opportunities, awards, panels, podcasts, and industry forums that advance Quaise's visibility and credibility.
  • Capture and repurpose event moments into social posts, internal updates, website content, newsletters, multimedia assets, and future campaign material.
  • Serve as a reliable communications lead for select events, ensuring details are expertly handled and opportunities are not missed.

Internal Communications
