Director of Consulting and Implementation (REMOTE)

Overview

The Director of Consulting and Implementation will lead the strategy, execution, and growth of Kryterions implementation and consulting services organization, playing a critical role in delivering exceptional client experiences and long-term customer success. This leader will drive successful customer onboarding, program launches, and ongoing optimization initiatives for clients delivering high-stakes exams, certification programs, and credentialing services worldwide.

In this leadership role, you will oversee a team of project managers, implementation specialists, consultants, and training professionals while partnering closely with Sales, Product, Customer Support, and other cross-functional teams to deliver measurable business outcomes, accelerate client value realization, and strengthen customer partnerships. The ideal candidate combines strategic leadership with operational excellence, a customer-first mindset, and a passion for building scalable service delivery organizations that drive growth, retention, and client satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the Consulting and Implementation vision aligned with company growth goals
  • Build scalable service offerings (implementation, integration, training, consulting)
  • Drive utilization, margin, and revenue targets for services
  • Oversee end-to-end implementation of certification programs, including:
    • Platform configuration (exam setup, candidate workflows, reporting)
    • Integrations such as SSO and API
    • Data migration and validation projects
  • Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of complex, multi-phase deployments
  • Act as executive sponsor for key projects
  • Lead, mentor, and scale a team of Implementation Managers, Consultants, Project managers, Trainers
  • Establish performance metrics, career paths, and training programs
  • Foster a high-performance, customer-centric culture
  • Partner with Sales on scoping, SOW development
  • Collaborate with Product and Sales to influence roadmap based on client needs
  • Align with Account Management for smooth transition from implementation to adoption
  • Work with Support to ensure post-launch stability and issue resolution
  • Develop standardized processes, templates, and playbooks for:
    • Certification program launches
    • Candidate experience optimization
  • Track and report on KPIs:
    • Time-to-launch
    • Customer satisfaction for assigned projects
    • Utilization and billable rates
    • Project margin and revenue
  • Leading the consultants, serve as a subject matter expert in certification and credentialing best practices, advising clients on:
    • Exam security and integrity
    • Program design and scalability
    • Regulatory or compliance considerations
  • Represent the company at industry events, webinars, and client workshops upon request


Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in SaaS Professional Services, Consulting, or Implementation
  • 2+ years in a leadership role managing delivery teams running complex, multi-phase implementations
  • Previous resource planning and delivery governance
  • Risk and issue management expertise
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical and service solutions
  • Proven success delivering complex SaaS implementations (enterprise-level clients preferred)
  • Strong understanding of integrations (APIs, SSO, LMS/CRM ecosystems)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage P&L, utilization, and services revenue


Preferred

  • Experience with exam delivery platforms, online proctoring, or credential management systems
  • Familiarity with standards in certification (e.g., psychometrics, exam security)
  • Background in industries such as education, workforce certification, or compliance training
