Description

The Great State Team is seeking a Remote Artiva Application Developer to join our fast-growing team! As an Artiva Application Developer you will design, develop, test, implement and support software solutions within the Artiva platform and related business systems. This role works closely with Operations, IT, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions that improve business processes and support strategic initiatives.


The successful candidate will participate in Agile development activities, including two-week sprint cycles, project work, solution design, and ongoing system enhancements. This position serves as both a software developer and technical partner, helping identify opportunities where technology can solve operational challenges and improve business outcomes.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain solutions within the Artiva application environment.
  • Develop and support functionality utilizing the InterSystems Cache database platform.
  • Participate in Agile development processes including sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Collaborate with Operations and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Serve as a technical resource in the design and implementation of new features, workflows, and system enhancements.
  • Develop and maintain system integrations, interfaces, and automated processes.
  • Troubleshoot application issues, analyze root causes, and implement long-term solutions.
  • Participate in project planning, estimation, and delivery of strategic initiatives.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and development standards.
  • Support production systems and assist with issue resolution as needed.
  • Contribute ideas and recommendations that improve application performance, usability, and business efficiency.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Attend meetings, sprint ceremonies, and training as required.
  • Research and recommend new technologies, tools, and development practices.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve development processes and technical standards.
  • Provide guidance and knowledge sharing with other developers and technical staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 3+ years of software development experience.
  • Experience with Artiva application development preferred.
  • Experience with InterSystems Cache, ObjectScript, SQL, and database development preferred.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with sprint-based development.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience designing and implementing business application solutions and integrations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting project and sprint commitments.
  • Experience in collections, healthcare revenue cycle, or financial services is a plus.
